Dan Smoke - Asayenes

Dan Smoke-Asayenes is from the Seneca Nation of the Iroquois Confederacy, Kildeer Clan. He grew up on the Grand River territory and now lives in London. He is a lifetime member of the Onondaga Longhouse traditional way of life and part of the Native Circle at Museum London. Dan is a conductor and spiritual teacher at Sunrise Ceremonies marking special occasions. Dan and his wife, Mary Lou, co-host a radio news magazine called Smoke Signals First Nations Radio, and have been community commentators on Native issues for the "New PL", London’’s CITY TV-owned news program, for the past three and a half years. They were also honoured by London's Mayor for their work in humanitarianism in the year 2000. You can also visit his Smoke Signals website.
